Dia Mirza attends presser in Iran

Indian actress Dia Mirza starring in ‘Salaam Mumbai’ has attended an Iran-based news conference on the Iranian-Indian drama film.

In the news confab, she answered questions on the movie and her cooperation with Iranian movie star Mohammad Reza Golzar in the flick.

She said that playing a role in an Iranian movie has always been her dream, adding that her father travelled to Iran in 1970 and she is not familiar with Iranian culture.

The Indian actress also described Golzar as a “superstar,” adding that she had good cooperation with the actor as well as other Iranian cast and crew of the movie.

This comes as Iranian director Ghorban Mohammadpour’s movie has become one of the highest-grossing movies in Iranian box-office with a rake-in estimated at 60 billion Rials.

‘Salaam Mumbai’ narrates the love story of a well-off Indian girl meeting an Iranian medicine student in Mumbai. As the story unfolds they both run into some complications along the way.

Mohammadpour, who was also present at the presser, said that he is set to make a sequel to ‘Salaam Mumbai’.
